Once upon a time in the village of Frosty Hollow, winter had arrived with a sprinkle of snowflakes and a blanket of glistening ice. The trees were dressed in white, and the rooftops sparkled like diamonds under the sun. The children of the village were overjoyed, for winter meant one thing: ice fun!
One bright morning, a group of children gathered at the big frozen pond in the centre of the village. There was Lily, with her rosy cheeks, and her best friend Max, who wore a bright red scarf. They were joined by Mia, a brave girl who loved to skate, and Tom, who always had the biggest smile.
“Let’s build an ice castle!” suggested Lily, her eyes glimmering with excitement. The others agreed, and they set to work. They piled up blocks of ice, stacking them high and making turrets that reached towards the sky. They laughed and giggled as they worked, their warm breath creating little clouds in the chilly air.
As the castle grew taller, Max had an idea. “Let’s have an ice skating party once we finish!” he exclaimed. Everyone cheered and clapped their hands. They skated around the castle, twirling and gliding, their laughter echoing through the frosty air.
But just then, they heard a soft whimper. Curious, they followed the sound and found a little penguin stuck in a snowdrift. “Oh dear!” exclaimed Mia. “We must help him!”
The children rushed over, using their strong arms to pull the penguin free. “Thank you!” he chirped, shaking off the snow. “I got lost trying to find my way home!”
“Don’t worry,” said Tom. “We’ll help you!” Together, they skated alongside the penguin, guiding him back to the edge of the pond. Soon, they spotted a family of penguins waddling towards them, their eyes lighting up when they saw the little one.
The penguin waved goodbye, and the children felt happy inside. They had not only enjoyed their ice fun but had also helped a friend in need.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky with shades of pink and orange, the children returned to their castle for one last twirl. They learned that winter was not just about fun; it was also about kindness and friendship.
And so, with hearts full of joy, they promised to meet again for more adventures.
With that thought, they headed home, dreaming of snowy days to come.
Goodnight, little one! Dream of ice castles and wonderful friends!
