**Santa Forgot My Present**
Once upon a time, in a little village covered in sparkling snow, there lived a cheerful boy named Timmy. Every year, he looked forward to Christmas with excitement. He loved the twinkling lights, the smell of sweet gingerbread, and, most of all, the thought of Santa Claus coming to deliver presents.
This year, Timmy had been especially good. He helped his mum with chores, shared his toys with his friends, and even fed the birds in the park. He wrote a heartfelt letter to Santa, asking for a shiny red train set. As Christmas Eve approached, Timmy could hardly sleep, dreaming of the fun he would have with his new toy.
Finally, the big day arrived! Timmy rushed down the stairs, his heart pounding with joy. He dashed to the tree, but as he looked under it, he felt a sudden chill. There were no presents! Just his mum’s warm hugs and the smell of hot cocoa.
“Santa forgot my present!” Timmy exclaimed, his eyes wide with sadness.
His mum knelt down beside him. “Oh, Timmy, maybe Santa is just a bit busy this year. Let’s not be upset. Christmas is about more than just presents.”
Timmy thought about this. He remembered the joy of helping others. So, he decided to do something special. “Mum, let’s bake cookies for our neighbours!” he said, his face brightening.
Together, they made the most delicious cookies, decorating them with sprinkles and icing. Timmy and his mum packed the treats in boxes and set off to deliver them. Each time they handed out a box, they saw smiles light up the faces of their friends.
That evening, as Timmy snuggled in bed, he felt a warm glow inside. He realised that making others happy was the best gift of all.
Just then, a soft jingle filled the air. Timmy peeked out of his window and saw a twinkling light overhead. Could it be Santa?
With a smile on his face, Timmy closed his eyes, knowing that Christmas was about love and kindness. And that was the greatest present he could ever receive.
And so, Timmy drifted off to sleep, dreaming of next Christmas, filled with joy and giving hearts.
The end.
